Highest tower in Kemayoran?

I could not help wondering after reading an article entitled
Dibangun di Kemayoran Menara Tertinggi Ketiga di Dunia (The
world's third highest tower to be built in Kemayoran) in a city
newspaper on Sept. 13, 1995. What's really the objective of the
project, which will cost Rp 900 billion (US$400 million)? Isn't
that fantastic?

The money could instead be used for developing the least
developed villages in this country and to improve the lives of
people who are still living under the poverty line. We could also
build a great number of school buildings. This program would be
more beneficial for the communities and would speak louder about
the success achieved by the New Order, rather than a single
tower.
