Higher rates
for toll roads

From Pos Kota

The House of Representatives has approved increased rates for
the use of toll roads in Jakarta. According to reports, the rise
is as high as 25 percent, which is rounded up to reach whole
amounts.

For such toll roads as Cawang-Grogol-Pluit-Tanjung Priok, the
rate hike from Rp 3,000 to Rp 4,000 is only proper, because they
have charged the lowest so far without imposing extra payments.

However, any increase in the rate for the route of Kampung
Rambutan-Pondok Pinang, for instance, in my opinion would be
excessive. The reason is that the rate of Rp 5,000 now effective
is already too high by Indonesian people's standards.
