Entering the 27th day of operations, the Hajj Pilgrimage Organizing Officers (PPIH) at the Surabaya Embarkation recorded that 36,413 pilgrims and personnel have been dispatched to the Holy Land. This number reaches 83 percent of the total planned departures for the 1447 H/2026 M hajj season.
Although the process is running smoothly, there are 13 prospective pilgrims who are currently experiencing delays in their departure at the Surabaya Embarkation Hajj Dormitory. The majority of the delays are due to health conditions that require further medical treatment.
“To date, the number of pilgrims still experiencing departure delays at the Surabaya Embarkation Hajj Dormitory is recorded at 13 people. So far, there have been no recommendations from the medical team, so they are still undergoing treatment,” said the Head of PPIH Embarkation Surabaya, Mohammad As’adul Anam.
On the same day, PPIH also scheduled the arrival of three additional groups with a total of 1,140 pilgrims originating from Lumajang Regency, Surabaya City, Sidoarjo Regency, and Tulungagung Regency.
