High-Protein Chicken Liver Kremes: A New Option for Children's Nutrition
Bandung is once again giving birth to culinary innovation from the hands of creative micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). This time, a child-friendly snack product arrives that is different from the usual: High-Protein Chicken Liver Kremes. Not merely the savoury kremesan that often accompanies dishes, but a groundbreaking high-protein food designed to support children’s growth.
UMKM ‘Gadoeh Rasa’ becomes the pioneer behind this idea. With a concept of locally sourced, healthy and affordable foods, they present a product that combines Bandung’s distinctive flavour with children’s nutritional needs. The liver, rich in protein and iron, is processed into a crispy kremesan so that children can enjoy it without getting bored.
This innovation arose from a simple concern: how to make children want to eat nutritious food without being forced. “Many parents struggle to introduce animal protein sources like liver because of their texture. With a creative touch, the liver is transformed into a light kremesan familiar to children,” explained Selma Tianuri, Digital Marketing Manager at Gadoeh Rasa.
Not only about taste, the product carries a social message as well. Gadoeh Rasa wants to show that healthy food does not have to be expensive and can be born from local kitchens. “With raw materials easily obtainable in Bandung’s traditional markets, Gadoeh Rasa proves that innovation can grow from the roots of its culinary culture,” Selma continued.
This Chicken Liver Kremes also represents the courage of MSMEs to break away from old norms. If usually child accompaniment products are identified with instant porridge or sweet snacks, Gadoeh Rasa offers a savoury, crispy, and nutritious alternative. This is the form of MSME adaptation to a modern society that is increasingly concerned with children’s nutritional quality.
In terms of distribution, the product is starting to reach local shops and online platforms. With practical packaging and branding emphasising ‘Not Just a Kremesan’, Gadoeh Rasa hopes to reach more families in Bandung and its surroundings. The aim is for the product to be not only a dietary option but also an inspiration for other MSMEs to innovate.
More than a business venture, Gadoeh Rasa carries an educational mission. They want to invite the public to view local foods as solutions to children’s nutritional challenges. With this creative approach, the MSME stresses that Bandung is not only a culinary city but also a city of innovation capable of producing products with social and health value.
