Mataram (ANTARA) - The West Nusa Tenggara High Prosecutor’s Office is studying at least 100 documents seized during the investigation into an alleged corruption case involving an Rp11 billion capital loan to PT Carsten Group Indonesia from a regional bank.

“There are more than one hundred documents that have been seized from the search of the regional bank and we are currently studying them,” said Harun Al Rasyid, spokesperson for the West Nusa Tenggara High Prosecutor’s Office, in Mataram on Thursday afternoon.

In addition to examining the documents seized during the search at the end of July 2026, investigators from the Special Crimes Division of the West Nusa Tenggara High Prosecutor’s Office have also questioned at least 30 people.

On Thursday, investigators had just completed an additional examination of an employee of the regional bank owned by the West Nusa Tenggara Provincial Government.

“One person from the regional bank whom we examined today was from the disbursement section,” he said.

In providing this update, Harun asked the public to be patient and not to speculate about who will be named a suspect in this case.

“So, we hope the public will be patient. We will certainly convey any progress in this series of investigations,” he said.

In addition to expert opinions, this investigation also requires strengthening evidence related to state financial losses. The West Nusa Tenggara High Prosecutor’s Office is pursuing this matter in cooperation with the West Nusa Tenggara Audit Board (BPK).

PT Carsten Group Indonesia is recorded as a private company that emerged during the 2023 Motocross Grand Prix (MXGP) event.

When the extreme sports event took place from late June to July 2023, PT Carsten Group Indonesia acted as the event organiser.

In carrying out the two MXGP series on the islands of Lombok and Sumbawa, PT Carsten Group Indonesia, as the event organiser, received support from the West Nusa Tenggara Provincial Government through the regional bank as well as from a private organiser, PT Samota Enduro Gemilang (SEG).
