High Interest from Academic Researchers: AICIS+ 2026 Registration Officially Extended

The registration deadline for the Annual International Conference on Islam, Science and Society (AICIS+) 2026 has been officially extended.

The Director of Islamic Higher Education at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Professor Sahiron, stated that this decision was made in response to the high level of interest from the academic community, as well as to provide broader opportunities for researchers, academics, and students to participate.

This major international event, themed “Revitalising Islamic Civilisation for Sustainable Life: Local Heritage, Technological Innovation, and Human Flourishing,” is scheduled to take place from 17 to 20 November 2026, centred at UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon.

Sahiron emphasised that AICIS+ 2026 is not merely a gathering of prominent figures, but a strategic momentum to formulate real solutions to various contemporary global problems. “Islamic civilisation possesses a wealth of local heritage laden with transformative values,” he told the media in Jakarta on Thursday (3/9/2026).

He added that through AICIS+ 2026, the organisers aim to bridge local wisdom with modern technological innovation to achieve a sustainable and dignified life for humanity.

In line with this, the Chairman of the AICIS+ 2026 Steering Committee, Professor Faqiuddin Abdul Qodir, invited all lecturers, educational staff, and students from various higher education institutions—both PTKIN and PTKIS—to make the most of this academic platform. According to him, the active participation of the academic community is crucial in strengthening the tradition of scientific research within the religious higher education environment.
