High Enthusiasm, DPD RI Awards 2026 Registration Extended Until 23 August!
Registration for the DPD RI Awards 2026 has officially been extended until Sunday, 23 August 2026. The public still has the opportunity to nominate inspiring figures and change-makers in their regions for this national award.
Members of the public wishing to register themselves or nominate candidates in their areas can fill in the form directly via the official DPD RI website at https://awards.dpd.go.id. Registration will close on 23 August at 11.59 pm Western Indonesian Time.
Chairman of DPD RI, Sultan Bachtiar Najamudin, said the decision to extend the registration period was taken to accommodate the high aspirations and enthusiasm of the public from across the country.
“We see that public enthusiasm to participate in the DPD RI Awards 2026 is extraordinarily high. We received a lot of feedback that many people in the regions have only just learned about this event and are racing to tidy up their documents and registration files,” said Sultan on Friday (21/8/2026).
Sultan stressed that DPD RI does not want any great figures in the regions to be missed simply because of time constraints in preparing their documents.
“DPD RI is a home for the regions. We want to provide the widest possible space so that not a single change-maker in the corners of the country loses the opportunity to have their work officially recognised. Therefore, we have officially extended registration until 23 August so that all supporting documents can be prepared optimally,” he added.
The high public enthusiasm is reflected in the surge in the number of applicants. As of 10.45 am Western Indonesian Time today, a total of 916 nominations had been submitted for the DPD RI Awards 2026. This figure has increased significantly compared to the 2025 DPD RI Awards, which recorded a total of 668 nominations.
This year, the DPD Awards recognises achievements in four main fields as well as one special award:
Non-Formal Education/Out-of-School Education Innovator: Awarded to individuals dedicated to developing non-formal education and expanding learning opportunities for the public.
Health Technology Innovator: Awarded to individuals, professionals, or academics who produce innovations in the health sector through clinical or laboratory research, including the discovery of medicines, therapies, or medical devices.
Food Self-Sufficient Village Driver: Aimed at figures who promote food self-sufficiency through the use of local food potential, community empowerment, and strengthening food security sustainably.
Regional Culture Preservationist: Awarded to individuals who innovate in the development and preservation of regional culture and actively promote it at national and international levels.
Special Recognition Awards: Special appreciation for figures, individuals, or groups who have made consistent and sustainable contributions to their regions.
Sultan explained that the DPD Awards is held as a stage of honour for inspirational regional figures who have worked and made real contributions to Indonesia.
“Through this event, DPD RI wants to emphasise that the strength of Indonesia’s development rests on the initiative and hard work of the people in all regions of Indonesia, not only on the central government and big cities,” Sultan asserted.
