High Demand Leads to Additional Fast Boat Trips at Senggigi Port
Senggigi Port is adding fast boat trips, originally 10 times a day, to 12 times per day for the Bali-Senggigi-Trawangan crossing route. This is the reason behind the policy.
The Head of the West Lombok Transportation Department, M Hendrayadi, said this policy aims to improve crossing services at Senggigi Port.
“Fast boat operators have also increased to three. There is now an additional operator, namely PT SemayaOne,” he added on Wednesday (29/4/2026).
Hendrayadi said interest in fast boat transportation has been rising from 2025 to now. According to him, this is caused by the surge in air ticket prices.
He is optimistic that the addition of trips at Senggigi Port can support mobility and serve the influx of tourists in 2026.
“The increase in passengers throughout 2025 at Senggigi Port was quite significant, reaching 40,000 people entering and exiting,” he added.
Hendrayadi hopes that the additional fast boat trips at Senggigi Port can multiply the Regional Original Revenue (PAD) from the port sector, which in 2025 reached Rp 500 million.
“Double, even I’m sure it can. We are optimistic it can rise to 1.2 billion,” he said.
Hendrayadi added that the policy of using e-tickets at Senggigi Port will be fully implemented starting next May. However, that scheme has been trialled for the past two weeks.
