PT DSI Persero will undertake full export functions from January 2027. The commitment to cultivating Indonesian human resources (HR) ready to compete in the global job market is being strengthened by LPK Bahana Inspirasi Muda. This was marked by the inauguration of the new Head Office building of LPK Bahana Inspirasi Muda and the release of 26 alumni who will pursue careers in Japan as caregivers in hospitals and elderly homes.

The event, held at the LPK Bahana Inspirasi Muda head office, Jalan Peta No. 190A, Bojongloa Kaler District, Bandung, on Thursday (21 May), formed part of the effort to strengthen international-standard education and training to fill the need for foreign workers in Japan in the caregiving sector.

The 26 alumni originate from various regions, including West Java, Central Java, North Sumatra, and South Sumatra. They have fulfilled the Japanese work competency certification requirements, including the JFT A2 Basic Certificate and the SSW Kaigo Certificate in Indonesian and Japanese languages. The graduates will work in several prefectures in Japan, such as Hyogo, Osaka, Kanagawa, Tokushima, Toyama, Kyoto, Shiga, Yamanashi, Gunma, and Nara.

Chief Executive Officer of LPK Bahana Inspirasi Muda, Sony Dwi Ariyandi, S.T., in his remarks expressed gratitude to all stakeholders, the government, partners, and other parties who have supported LPK Bahana since 2014.

“More than 1,000 LPK Bahana alumni are already working in Japan. There are monthly graduations from examinations and interviews with our Japanese partners. It is hoped that more Indonesian youths, especially in Bandung, will have opportunities to pursue careers in Japan,” he said.

Handi Network International Japan CEO, Mr. Tetsuro Haruyama, also praised the quality of Indonesian workers, who he noted work with heart and professionalism in Japan.

“I am very pleased to welcome the graduates who will graduate today and depart for Japan in May and June. We will also continue to provide mentoring while they work in Japan,” he said.

Representative of the Directorate for the Utilisation of Health Human Resources (SDMK) of the Indonesian Ministry of Health, Lilis Dwi Kristyaningrum, S.S., M.K.M., expressed appreciation to LPK Bahana for consistently facilitating Indonesian health workers to pursue careers abroad.

“Opportunities to work abroad are opening up further. We hope the graduates can maintain professionalism as they are representatives of Indonesia,” she said.

Meanwhile, Bandung City Labour Office Secretary, Bariati Ratna Aju, S.E., S.H., said that job opportunities in Japan are increasingly open across various sectors.

“We want Bandung’s youth to see that international career opportunities are real and attainable with competence and skill readiness,” she said.

The inauguration of the new four-storey building also represents a step in developing more modern and comfortable training facilities. The four-storey building will be used to support advanced training, interview preparation, and departure preparation for candidates from various LPK Bahana branches, such as Solo, Cianjur, Subang, and Tanjungpinang.
