HiFS 2026: Huawei Accelerates 'Agentic Banking' Transformation with Four Updated Digital Financial Solutions
Shanghai - Huawei Intelligent Finance Summit (HiFS) 2026 (Global Session) which carries the theme “Hello Fintelligent World: Beyond Digital, Advance to Agentic Banking” has officially opened at Huawei’s Lianqiu Lake Campus in Shanghai. Through this event, Huawei announced six strategic initiatives to accelerate large-scale AI application in the financial sector, launched the Financial Data Intelligence Solution 6.0 and Digital CORE Solution 6.0, and introduced robust infrastructure for both general and AI computing. These steps enable financial institutions to maximise AI-driven productivity while accelerating digital and intelligent transformation and achieving customer success worldwide.
Four Business Strategies and the “4-Win” Model to Drive Global Financial Industry Growth
According to Jason Cao, CEO of Huawei Digital Finance BU, over 16 years in the financial sector, Huawei’s strategy has evolved from providing standard hardware and software for the financial industry to offering comprehensive industry solutions. Through continuous innovation in hardware and software fundamentals, system engineering capabilities, ecosystem development, and local services, Huawei has built a sustainable business growth foundation.
Huawei Digital Finance currently focuses on four main business strategies. Supported by robust ICT infrastructure, Huawei continues to expand its global RONGHAI partner ecosystem to develop collaborative financial solutions and build a “4-Win” partnership model involving customers, ISVs, SIs, and Huawei. As Agentic AI moves towards large-scale production implementation, Huawei introduced a hybrid AI architecture based on open-source foundation models. This approach helps financial institutions expand AI usage in high-value scenarios. To accelerate the transition to Agentic Banking, Huawei has prioritised six key areas: use cases, architecture, system engineering, data, AI infrastructure, and talent development.
New Path to Maximise AI Benefits via Open-Source Models and Hybrid AI Architecture: Six Initiatives Accelerating the Agentic Banking Era
AI competitiveness based on open-source models has become a strategic direction for financial institutions worldwide.
By leveraging open-source models and hybrid AI architecture, Huawei is driving six main initiatives covering use cases, architecture, system engineering, data, AI infrastructure, and talent development:
Accelerate AI implementation for high-value scenarios: Targeting four key areas — intelligent interaction, more efficient operational activities, AI-based risk management, and revenue enhancement. Huawei, along with partners, has launched nine AI Agent-based business solutions to support these needs.
Hybrid AI architecture balancing security, regulatory compliance, performance, and cost: This approach ensures data security while optimising system engineering to reduce token usage costs, enabling large-scale AI innovation.
Apply best engineering practices to accelerate AI adoption: With support from open-source models and computational resources, Huawei delivers low-latency AI interaction, specialised risk management models, and integrated AI Agent engineering with various partners. Through enhanced computational, model, and AI Agent engineering, Huawei helps financial institutions improve effectiveness and speed of AI implementation.
Build a smart digital foundation ready for AI: Huawei introduces enhancements across three key layers — data platform, data governance, and applications — to establish a R.A.C.E. foundation capable of supporting AI transformation in finance.
Develop high-performance AI computing foundations for enterprises: Huawei introduced the Atlas 850E SuperPoD, providing AI computing infrastructure for enterprises with advanced computing architecture and high-performance networking.
Launch AI talent development programme: Over the next three years, Huawei aims to train over 10,000 multidisciplinary experts in finance and AI to support global financial industry transformation.
Building Strong Data Foundations for AI: Advancing Financial Data Architecture Based on R.A.C.E.
At the event, Huawei unveiled Financial Data Intelligence Solution 6.0, a new solution that enhances capabilities across three key layers: data platform, data governance, and data applications.
Build an integrated data and AI platform: Supported by hardware and software synergy, Huawei’s latest AI data lake supports multimodal data storage and computation. This solution facilitates more efficient processing of unstructured data such as documents and videos.
Introduce integrated data governance on a single platform: In collaboration with Keyrus and Sunline, Huawei developed a comprehensive data governance framework to improve data utilisation efficiency.
Expand data and AI application in business: Partnering with Sensors Data, Huawei launched a hyper-personalised marketing solution using over 5,000 customer attributes to strengthen user management strategies. Additionally, Huawei and TrustDecision introduced an intelligent anti-fraud solution capable of detecting potential fraud in just 30 milliseconds. With AI-powered case analysis, the solution boosts work efficiency by 40 times.
