Surabaya now boasts an unconventional staycation destination. A luxury hotel has introduced an artificial white-sand beach on its 28th-floor rooftop, a feature not to be missed.
The Trans Luxury Hotel Surabaya features the 28th Sky Beach Club, offering a tropical resort atmosphere in the city centre with imported Australian sand, an infinity pool, jacuzzi, and a bar serving various drinks.
This artificial beach is not just for adults; it is also kid-friendly, complete with a children’s slide. Guests can enjoy panoramic views of Surabaya’s skyline and Mount Arjuno, with the spot becoming a favourite for sunset views in the evening.
Kiki Sulistianto, Chief Business Officer of Trans Hotel Group, stated the hotel is designed to cater to the luxury lifestyle hospitality segment in Surabaya. He explained that guests can access a range of facilities for accommodation, dining, leisure, and business activities all in one location.

Located in South Surabaya at Jl. Ahmad Yani No. 260, the hotel is easily accessible from Juanda International Airport and major city points. It is approximately 20 minutes from the airport and 25 minutes to the city centre. The hotel is also directly connected to Trans Icon Surabaya, allowing guests to enjoy entertainment, dining, and other amenities without travelling far.
For dining, The Trans Luxury Hotel Surabaya offers various options throughout the day. The Grand Restaurant serves an all-you-can-eat buffet and à la carte Asian and international dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Lobby Lounge provides a more relaxed setting for coffee or high tea.
The 27th Sky Lounge & Bistro offers exclusive Western à la carte dining with city views. Each room is equipped with a 55-inch Smart TV, customizable lighting, high-speed internet, and Acqua di Parma amenities.
Currently, the hotel is offering opening promotions with room rates starting at Rp 999,000. During the soft opening, users of Allo PayLater, Bank Mega Credit Card, and Mega Syariah Card can enjoy special rates from Rp 999,000 nett per night. This includes breakfast for two adults and two children under six, access to the infinity pool and fitness centre, plus up to 50% dining discount for Allo PayLater users and 20% for Bank Mega and Mega Syariah Card users.
Regular bookings have promotions from Rp 1,499,000 nett per night (normally Rp 2,000,000), including breakfast for two, pool and fitness access, and 20% off all dining outlets.
