Hezbollah: Zionist Israel Deliberately Conceals Heavy Losses in Tanks and Military Personnel
Beirut — Deputy Chairman of Hezbollah’s Political Council, Mahmoud Qamati, described Lebanon’s latest government decision to ban resistance activities and seize their weapons as a stain on the state, likening the move to the Vichy government in France toward resistance fighters. He said Hezbollah would not cooperate in implementing the decision, but would remain committed to bilateral national alliances and cooperate with other resistance factions. He asserted that the Lebanese government contravenes national sovereignty, the ceasefire agreement, and international law by attempting to restrict the resistance. In an interview with Al Jazeera, quoted on Saturday (7 March 2026), Qamati said the resistance will continue to use all lawful means to respond to aggression and protect the land and people. He emphasised that any threat to Lebanon’s sovereignty or attacks on citizens would be met with resolve and direct resistance against the Israeli enemy, and that fighting would continue until military and political objectives were fully achieved. He added that the Lebanese resistance continues its heroic battles on the southern border. He said the Israeli army is suffering heavy losses in tanks and troops, despite advances at certain points. Resistance rockets and unmanned aircraft continued to hit enemy positions in the occupied Palestinian territories, with the aim of forcing it to comply with the ceasefire agreement No. 1701, after the Lebanese government failed to enforce it for 15 months while patient and compliant with the agreement. Israel losses Qamati explained that on-the-ground facts were not as depicted by the media, pointing out that the enemy hides losses in its ranks.
