Hezbollah vows to retaliate for Israel's strikes on Lebanon
Beirut – The Lebanese group Hezbollah on Tuesday (3/3) insisted it would retaliate against Israel’s attacks on Lebanon as part of the ongoing conflict. “The enemy wants a war with no end, which has not stopped since the ceasefire agreement, so let it become an open war,” the group said. Hezbollah leaders said they had run out of patience and would begin combat operations. They also urged the Lebanese government not to obstruct the resistance against Zionist Israel. Lebanese President Joseph Aoun confirmed that the government’s decision to ban Hezbollah’s military activities is final, with the cabinet instructing authorities to prevent any Hezbollah military action by all means available. Since the ceasefire agreement in November 2024, the Israeli army has continued to strike Lebanon and target Hezbollah members with drones. Following the launch of six rockets from Lebanese territory on Sunday night (1/3), the Israeli army began large-scale strikes on the outskirts of Beirut and intensified bombardment in the southern and eastern parts of the country.
