Hezbollah Missiles Strike Secret Israeli Military Vehicle Base

The Lebanese armed group Hezbollah has launched a series of attacks against Israeli forces across southern Lebanon, targeting a secret military vehicle base. Hezbollah fired a barrage of rockets at a group of Israeli military vehicles parked near the town hall of al-Qussair in the Marjayoun district. The group also launched missile strikes at a building housing a “secret armed vehicle base” located “near a reservoir” in Zawtar al-Sharqiyah. Hezbollah’s Ababil helicopters also hit a Merkava tank positioned near a town pond. “Numira mechanism in Qantara town, using Ababil attack helicopters, successfully struck the target,” according to reports. The Israeli military stated that one of its soldiers was killed in a Hezbollah drone attack near the Lebanon border, bringing the total death toll in the conflict with the Iran-backed militia to 24. The military identified the deceased as 20-year-old Sergeant Rotem Yanai, who died during operational activities in northern Israel. One reserve soldier sustained severe injuries and another moderate injuries in the same incident. Israel’s Finance Minister said the only way to stop the attacks is through massive destruction in the southern suburbs of Beirut, Lebanon’s capital, where Hezbollah holds sway. “You know that the only way, currently, to prevent our soldiers from being injured is to destroy 10 buildings in Dahiyeh, Beirut, for every drone,” wrote Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich on Telegram, addressed to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. “For every drone that attacks one of our soldiers, we must destroy a hundred buildings,” added the right-wing Finance Minister.
