Heritage Flag Procession Departs from Monas to State Palace

The procession carrying the Heritage Flag and Proclamation Text began departing from the National Monument (Monas) to the State Palace for the proclamation moment ceremony of Indonesia’s 81st Independence Day. The public enthusiastically watched the procession.

Based on observations at the location on Monday (17/8/2026), the procession carrying the Heritage Flag and Proclamation Text departed from Monas to the State Palace at 08.07 WIB. This procession commenced the series of celebrations for Indonesia’s 81st Independence Day at the State Palace.

The Heritage Flag from Monas to the State Palace was carried by 2025 purna paskibraka member Sultana Najwa. Meanwhile, the Proclamation Text was carried by purna paskibraka member Aliah Sakira.

The procession was led by a motorcycle escort from the military police, followed by mounted troops and the golden carriage carrying the Heritage Flag and Proclamation Text.

Kaskogartap 1/Jakarta Brigadier General Fitriana Nur Heru Wibawa had received a report from the presidential security forces officer that the Garuda Prabayaksa golden carriage was escorted by 45 military police motorcycle outriders, the Cendrawasih Police Academy pioneer corps drum band, 118 Ronggo Lawe cavalry regiment mounted troops, and 78 Nusantara kingdom troops.

The public appeared enthusiastic in watching the procession. They lined up neatly along the procession route.

Many members of the public came with family members and children, wearing red and white attire.
