Here Are 5 Mobile SIM Extension Locations in Jakarta Today

The Metro Jaya Regional Police Traffic Directorate is again facilitating residents of the capital who wish to extend the validity of their driving licences (SIM). On Friday (3/7), mobile SIM services were deployed at five strategic points across the DKI Jakarta area. Based on information from the official X (Twitter) account of TMC Polda Metro Jaya, the mobile SIM outlets are operating today from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Drivers should note that these mobile booths only serve the extension of class A (car) and class C (motorcycle) licences that are still valid. If the validity period has expired, even by just one day, the vehicle owner must apply for a new licence at the nearest SIM Administration Unit (Satpas). The official extension fees are regulated under Government Regulation No. 76 of 2020 concerning Types and Rates of Non-Tax State Revenue applicable to the National Police. The cost is set at Rp80,000 for a SIM A extension and Rp75,000 for a SIM C. Meanwhile, holders of SIM B licences cannot use this mobile service for extensions. Drivers must visit the Satpas office directly due to different documentation requirements and vehicle specifications for vehicles weighing over 3.5 tonnes.
