Here Are 21 Parking Locations Around Monas for the 81st Indonesian Independence Day Celebration
The Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) has prepared 21 parking locations to support the series of events for Indonesia’s 81st Independence Day celebration on 17 August 2026. The parking areas are spread across the Monas area to Dukuh Atas.
Total capacity prepared reaches 20,578 parking space units (SRP). This capacity consists of 12,295 SRP for cars, 8,186 SRP for motorcycles, and 97 SRP for buses.
“There are 21 (twenty-one) parking locations around the Monas area up to Dukuh Atas to support the implementation of the series of activities for the 81st Independence Day Celebration with a total of 20,578 parking space units (SRP),” said Head of the Jakarta Transportation Agency Budi Awaludin on Friday (14/8/2026).
A number of these parking locations are situated near the points that serve as venues for the celebration activities, including Monas, Sarinah, the Hotel Indonesia (HI) Roundabout, and the Dukuh Atas area.

The Jakarta Transportation Agency has prepared these locations to accommodate members of the public who come to participate in or watch the series of events for Indonesia’s 81st Independence Day.
The availability of these parking areas is one of the measures to support public mobility, given that a number of roads in Jakarta will undergo traffic engineering during the series of events.
In addition to the ceremony and the procession of the Heritage Flag, a Decorated Vehicle Carnival will also be held in the evening, passing through several main roads, starting from the Monas area, Jalan MH Thamrin, the HI Roundabout, Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, to Dukuh Atas.
The Jakarta Transportation Agency urges members of the public who will attend the series of events to take note of the available parking locations and follow the directions of officers on the ground. The public is also asked to adjust their travel routes in accordance with the traffic engineering that will be implemented on 17 August 2026.
