Hercules Reports to Police as Ahmad Bahar’s Daughter’s Lawyer Declares Unfazed

GRIB Jaya chairman Hercules Rosario Marshal reported Ahmad Bahar’s daughter, Ilma Sani Fitriana, to the Jakarta Metropolitan Police on Monday (25 May 2026). Ilma was reported for allegedly spreading false information about the organisation’s leader. Ilma’s lawyer, Gufroni, said he was not surprised by the report. He argued that Hercules should have reported the case to police from the outset, rather than taking matters into his own hands. ‘They should have pursued legal avenues from the start, not stormed Mr Ahmad Bahar’s home, interrogated him, and forcibly taken our client,’ he told Republika on Tuesday (26 May 2026). As head of Research and Advocacy at Muhammadiyah’s Central Public Legal Aid and Advocacy Agency (LBH AP PP), Gufroni suggested Hercules’ report was made under duress, given the widespread public attention the case has received. Gufroni also stated he was unfazed by the report and ready to pursue legal channels to defend his client. ‘Since this has entered the legal process, we will present our case during the police investigation,’ he said. Earlier, the legal team of GRIB Jaya chairman Hercules Rosario Marshal visited the Jakarta Metropolitan Police on Monday to report Ahmad Bahar’s daughter, identified as IF, for allegedly spreading excessive information. GRIB Jaya’s legal and advocacy spokesperson, Hika T Putra, said he had received special power of attorney from Hercules to report IF and associates to police, as they allegedly spread false information about Hercules on social media and mainstream outlets. ‘Today, we reported Sister IF and her associates. The accused in this report are Sister IF and her associates,’ he said at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police on Monday afternoon. IF disseminated incomplete, uncertain, and exaggerated information, which damaged Hercules’ reputation. Hence, they reported the case to police. The registered report, LP/B/3749/V/2026/SPKT/Polda Metro Jaya, concerns alleged dissemination of false information under Article 264 of Law No. 1 of 2023 on the Criminal Code (KUHP).
