Hercules Files Counter-Complaint Against Writer's Daughter in Depok Over Kidnapping Allegations
GRIB Jaya, a mass organization, has taken legal action regarding the report filed by Ahmad Bahar’s daughter, Ilma Sani Fitriana, against GRIB Jaya Chairman Rosario de Marshall, also known as Hercules, over alleged kidnapping. Hercules has filed a counter-report against Ilma Sani Fitriana with the Jakarta Metropolitan Police (Polda Metro Jaya).
“Our legal and advocacy team for GRIB Jaya has received a special power of attorney from Mr. Hercules to represent him in filing the report at Polda Metro Jaya,” said GRIB Jaya’s legal and advocacy spokesperson, Hika TA Putra, to journalists at Polda Metro Jaya on Monday, 25 May 2026.
The complaint against Ilma was submitted by GRIB Jaya’s legal team and registered under report number LP/B/3749/V/2026/SPKT POLDA METRO JAYA dated 25 May 2026. Ilma is being reported under Article 264 of the Criminal Code (KUHP) and Law No. 1 of 2023 concerning the crime of spreading false information.
“We have reported Sister IF and her associates. The report is against Sister IF and her associates. Her report spreads incomplete, uncertain, and exaggerated news and information. Correct (the complainant is Ilma Sani Fitriana),” he said.
He stated that his team brought several pieces of evidence for the report and mentioned they would file additional reports regarding the ongoing controversy.
“Evidence includes media links, social media statements made by her, visible statements we have obtained, and the evidence was properly received by the SPKT,” he added.
Hika said the report was filed because Hercules claims to have been harmed by the kidnapping allegations controversy. He hopes the report will be processed.
“We see many news and information that are sensationalised, exaggerated, and exploited by certain parties for their own interests. Therefore, this serves as a message: when rising up, please do not trample on others,” he added.
“We hope this serves as a lesson for others who receive incomplete or unverified information to refrain from spreading and commenting before analysing the situation,” he added.
Kidnapping Report
Polda Metro Jaya has received a police report from Ahmad Bahar’s daughter, Ilma Sani Fitriana, against GRIB Jaya Chairman Rosario de Marshall, also known as Hercules. Polda Metro Jaya affirmed that all incoming reports will be processed, including Ilma’s.
“Polda Metro Jaya, regardless of location, the police cannot reject public reports. However, for each report, the police will conduct an investigation by clarifying with the complainant, analysing evidence, and processing the crime scene. If during the investigation a case conference is held, the status will shift from preliminary inquiry to formal investigation. This will be done accordingly,” said Polda Metro Jaya’s Public Relations Chief, Commissioner Budi Hermanto, on Saturday, 23 May.
Ahmad Bahar’s daughter, Ilma Sani Fitriana, was reportedly surrounded by members of GRIB Jaya before filing a report against Hercules with Polda Metro Jaya. The report relates to alleged kidnapping of Ilma last weekend.
The report was registered under case number STTLP/B/3678/V/2026/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA dated 22 May 2026. Ilma filed the report accompanied by her legal counsel.
“For us, this falls under criminal offences, including hostage-taking, abduction, verbal threats, and use of firearms and other weapons. That’s the first point,” said Ilma’s lawyer, Gufroni, to journalists after filing the report at Polda Metro Jaya in South Jakarta on Friday, 22 May.
Gufroni also stated that Ilma has filed a separate report regarding hacking of her WhatsApp account, registered under case number STTLP/B/3679/V/2026/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA dated 22 May 2026.
“Indeed, before Sunday, there was some sort of operation that rendered her phone unusable. She has been trying to contact service providers to restore her phone and so on,” he said.
Denial of Kidnapping Allegations
GRIB Jaya responded to Ahmad Bahar’s daughter, Ilma Sani Fitriana’s, report against Chairman Rosario de Marshall, known as Hercules, at Polda Metro Jaya. GRIB Jaya contends that Ilma’s police report regarding alleged kidnapping does not align with the facts.
“If they continue to distort facts with narratives of hostage-taking or abduction, that is clearly baseless and illogical. How could there be hostage-taking? The public knows well who Mr. Hercules is,” said GRIB Jaya spokesperson Macelinus to journalists on Friday, 22 May.
Marcel stated that Hercules is a humanitarian figure, adding that it is impossible for him to kidnap someone.
“He is a very social and humanitarian figure, known for being close to and caring for orphans. His character is far from such heinous accusations,” he said.
Marcel said Hercules was merely giving advice to Ilma, stating that he urged her father to take responsibility.
“The actual facts on the ground are that Mr. Hercules was advising Ahmad Bahar’s daughter in a proper manner, like a parent to a child. He provided education and perspective so the child would understand the situation and also requested her father to act with gentlemanly conduct and take responsibility,” he said.
Marcel also urged all parties to examine the underlying issues that led to this case, asserting that the situation is merely a distortion of facts.
