Hensat Praises Prabowo's Anti-Corruption Stance in Febrie Adriansyah Case
Political analyst Hendri Satrio, known as Hensat, stated that the public appreciates President Prabowo Subianto’s commitment to eradicating corruption. His comments follow the designation of former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes, Febrie Adriansyah, as a suspect in three corruption cases. “The public certainly deserves to appreciate when the President shows a commitment to anti-corruption efforts. Political support from the country’s leader is important so that law enforcement officers become more confident in carrying out their duties,” Hensat told reporters on Sunday.
The founder of the KedaiKOPI Survey Institute said this public appreciation must also be responded to carefully by Prabowo and his administration. He urged the government to maintain consistency in resolving corruption cases to completion. “Appreciation is important, but what is more important is ensuring that law enforcement runs consistently. That is where public trust will grow,” he said.
According to Hensat, the high level of public attention on the case ensnaring Febrie Adriansyah must be met by law enforcement with professional and transparent action. He believes the public will support Prabowo if he conducts a clean-up within his government. “What needs to be maintained now is its continuity. Do not let the spirit of eradicating corruption only be strong at certain moments. The public wants to see that this commitment becomes part of consistent governance,” he stated.
He added that the success of eradicating corruption is not solely measured by the number of cases handled, but also by the increase in public trust in law enforcement institutions. “Ultimately, transparency, accountability, and the quality of evidence must remain the main foundation. That way, public trust in law enforcement will grow stronger,” Hensat said.
He views President Prabowo’s support for law enforcement officers as a positive signal that needs to be maintained to ensure the anti-corruption agenda continues consistently. “If this consistency is maintained, I think it will become a legacy of good governance. Appreciation is indeed deserved, but public oversight is also still needed so that the anti-corruption spirit is continuously preserved,” he said.
It was previously reported that the Police’s Corruption Eradication Corps (Kortas Tipikor) had named Febrie Adriansyah and Don Ritto as suspects in the alleged corruption cases. The case files for both have now been transferred to the Attorney General’s Office.
