Henan Asset Receives Award from London Stock Exchange Group
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - PT Henan Putimrai Asset Management (Henan Asset) has once again achieved world-class recognition at the LSEG Lipper Fund Awards 2026, organised by the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG). Through its product, Henan Ekuitas Syariah Berkah Kelas A, Henan Asset successfully won an award within the Global Islamic universe under the category of Best Equity Sharia Indonesia Fund over 5 Years.
This achievement also marks the third consecutive year that Henan Asset has received international awards from LSEG Lipper for its Sharia mutual fund category. The LSEG Lipper Fund Awards is a global accolade that assesses mutual fund performance across various countries and asset categories. Within the Global Islamic universe, assessments are conducted on countries with significant developments in the Islamic investment industry, including Indonesia, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, and several other key markets.
This award comes amidst challenging market conditions. Based on data from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) as of April 2026, the Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) recorded a year-to-date (YTD) correction of 19.55% due to high global uncertainty and ongoing volatility in world financial markets. Nevertheless, the mutual fund industry continues to show resilience, with Net Asset Value (NAV) reaching Rp711.89 trillion, growing by 5.41% YTD, supported by net subscriptions of Rp37.24 trillion throughout the current 2026 period.
In these conditions, Henan Asset believes that investors require an investment approach that is more disciplined, measurable, and non-reactive to short-term volatility. The Director of Henan Asset, Markam Halim, stated that this award from the London Stock Exchange Group serves as a reminder that investing is a long-term process requiring consistency in portfolio management. “For us, this award is not merely an appreciation of performance, but also a reminder that investing is a long-term journey. Amidst ever-changing market conditions, we believe that the integrity of the investment process, disciplined portfolio management, and the ability to remain adaptive are crucial factors in maintaining investor confidence,” said Markam.
He added that during its two decades of operation, the company has learned that markets always move in cycles. Therefore, the company’s primary focus is not just to face short-term momentum, but to maintain the quality of investment management consistently across various market conditions. This recognition coincides with Henan Asset’s 20th anniversary on 2 June 2026, themed “Two Decades of Resilience and Growth,” reflecting the company’s journey in navigating various market phases while maintaining sustainable business growth.
On the same occasion, the Director of Henan Asset, Edwardus Ronald Yudianto, stated that the company’s 20-year journey is inseparable from the growing trust of investors across various market conditions. “The trust built with investors has become an important foundation for our journey over the last 20 years. Therefore, our focus is not only to present investment products but also to ensure that every service continues to evolve and remains relevant to increasingly dynamic investor needs,” explained Ronald.
As of 31 May 2026, Henan Asset manages assets under management (AUM) of more than Rp13 trillion, supported by over 110,000 investors from various segments. The company also adheres to the principle of managing funds through a focused approach, utilising only 15 investment products to maintain discipline and performance consistency. These products include money market funds, fixed income funds, balanced funds, equity funds, Sharia-based funds, and USD-denominated funds which are set to be launched in 2026. Looking ahead, Henan Asset reaffirmed its commitment to continuing to accompany investors in facing market dynamics through prudent, adaptive, and long-term oriented investment management.
