Hemaviton Challenge enters final stage
JAKARTA: The Junior Hemaviton Challenge tennis championship
will enter the grand final stage or master series next week with
a package of free overseas outings worth US$10,000 up for grabs.
The master series, which will run from Sept. 28 to Oct. 3 at
the Senayan tennis courts, will round off the preceding two
regular series: the first series in Jakarta in March and the
second series in Yogyakarta in June.
The players will be split into two age categories: under-14
and under-18 both, for boys and girls.
The winners of the championship, which is organized by PT
Yarynara and PT Tempo Scan Pacific Tbk, will be awarded a trip to
an international tournament in 2005.
"This is a good chance for junior players to show their
potential and get some rewards," Yayuk Basuki, the event
organizer, said in a press conference here on Thursday. --JP
