Jakarta — The Office of the Presidential Staff (KSP) has launched KSP Mendekat, a hotline via WhatsApp and other channels, to assist in overseeing the administration of the New Student Admission System (SPMB) for the 2026/2027 academic year and to receive reports of any misconduct or violations. The KSP said it would work from its side to resolve complaints submitted through the KSP Mendekat channel. The initiative comes as KSP head Dudung Abdurachman emphasised that SPMB needs strict oversight by multiple parties, including KSP, to minimise potential fraud or violations. “As I, the Head of the Presidential Staff, urge all ministries and agencies and local governments to continuously strengthen coordination, build a responsive oversight mechanism, ensure openness of public information, and firmly address any form of deviation in the SPMB implementation. Now the KSP has KSP Mendekat,” Dudung said at the signing ceremony of the Joint Commitment for a Friendly SPMB at the Ministry of Education and Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikdasmen) building in Jakarta, on Thursday. He added the KSP will endeavour to address the various complaints or reports that come in from the KSP’s perspective. “KSP Mendekat is available at WhatsApp number 0811-4198-88 (or contact) 0811-1933-3888,” he added. On that occasion, Dudung applauded the involvement of all ministries, agencies, local governments, law enforcement authorities, and other stakeholders in monitoring and safeguarding the SPMB 2026/2027. “I want to emphasise that strong oversight is not intended to frighten, but to build compliance, uphold fairness, and protect the public’s rights,” he said. He added that SPMB is not merely a programme, but a form of transformation in the governance of public services in education. “We want to ensure that schools become spaces of hope, not spaces of anxiety for the public,” said Dudung Abdurachman, Head of the KSP.
