JAKARTA — The Indonesian Direct Selling Companies Association (AP2LI) recently held the Helmy Attamimi Award 2026 in Jakarta.

At the biennial awards ceremony for multi-level marketing companies, which has been held since 2020, the Ministry of Trade’s Director General for Domestic Trade, Iqbal Shoffan Shofwan, noted that direct selling is one of the least regulated business sectors worldwide.

According to Iqbal, Indonesia is among the countries that enforce strict regulations on the multi-level marketing industry. “The growing number of homegrown direct selling companies marketing authentic Indonesian products will certainly drive the wheels of the economy in Indonesia,” Iqbal Shoffan Shofwan said in a written statement on Monday (23/2/2026).

Andrew Susanto, Chairman of AP2LI, affirmed that the biennial event demonstrates the award’s continued relevance and importance to the direct selling industry.

“This competition was designed by AP2LI specifically to foster healthy competition within the industry, because we believe that healthy competition will drive the growth and development of direct selling,” he said.

Andrew congratulated the nominees and recipients of the Helmy Attamimi Award 2026 trophies, expressing hope that their achievements would be sustained. He also encouraged companies that were not nominated or did not win not to be disheartened, noting that this was precisely the reason the event is held.
