Hells Angels Drug Boss Deported to Australia After Arrest in Bali

The Director General of Immigration at the Ministry of Immigration and Corrections, Hendarsam Marantoko, confirmed that the fugitive was repatriated approximately two weeks ago. “Two weeks ago, if I’m not mistaken, he was sent back,” Hendarsam told reporters in South Jakarta on Monday. Hendarsam stated that Angelo was arrested in Bali as he was about to depart on a private jet. The arrest was the result of cooperation between Australian authorities and the Indonesian National Police. “Yes, it was immediate because the individual was already subject to a blue notice, and we coordinated with the Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) and carried out the arrest at that time,” he said. “He was repatriated directly because of our cooperation with foreign police forces, Interpol, and Bareskrim,” he added. Angelo Pandeli was previously arrested in Bali on Saturday, 6 June. The Interpol fugitive was apprehended as he was preparing to take off in a private jet. He was detained after triggering an Interpol Blue Notice hit with a 100 percent match score. The Director of Narcotics Crime at Bareskrim, Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, stated that Angelo was arrested while attempting to travel from Bali to Mozambique on a CAPA Jet private aircraft with flight number N917CJ, routing Denpasar to Maputo, via the VIP South Terminal of I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport. “Based on immigration examination results, it was discovered that George Anderson Mota Correia was suspected of using a travel document that did not belong to him. Further investigation revealed his true identity as Angelo Pandeli, an Australian citizen holding a Venezuelan passport suspected to be counterfeit,” Brigadier General Eko Hadi said. Angelo Pandeli is a highly influential transnational organised crime figure and a significant member of the outlaw Hells Angels motorcycle gang in Australia. He is believed to be responsible for a substantial number of border-controlled drug importations into Australia, both past and ongoing.
