PT Jasa Raharja has assured that all insurance claims for victims of the KRL accident at Bekasi Timur Station will be settled promptly. Based on data gathered until Tuesday (29/4/2026) at 18:00 WIB, the total number of victims in the accident reached 103, comprising 15 fatalities and 88 injuries. Of the deceased victims, compensation has been paid to four, while 11 newly identified cases are undergoing surveys. Each heir of a deceased victim receives compensation from Jasa Raharja amounting to Rp50 million. In addition, through a collaboration between KAI and Jasaraharja Putera, there is an additional compensation of Rp40 million. Meanwhile, for injured victims, Jasa Raharja guarantees treatment costs up to a maximum of Rp20 million, plus additional coverage from Jasaraharja Putera up to Rp30 million. Jasa Raharja’s President Director, Muhammad Awaluddin, stated that this compensation represents a tangible form of the state’s presence in providing basic protection to the public, in line with the mandate of Law No. 33 of 1964. “We ensure that all victims’ rights are settled quickly and accurately. This is our commitment that the state is present to provide protection to the community,” Awaluddin said in a written statement on Wednesday (29/4/2026). He emphasised that the speed of compensation delivery is the top priority, from victim data collection and heir verification to disbursement. “We strive for the compensation to be received by the heirs as soon as possible, thereby easing the burden on the bereaved families,” he added. Compensation for victim Adelia Rifani was handed directly to her father, Haerusli, as the legitimate heir, on Tuesday (28/04/2026). Meanwhile, compensation for victim Nurlaela was given to her husband, Haris Rusman; for victim Ristuti Kustirahayu to her husband, Suyatno; and for victim Enggar Retno K. to her husband.
