Heavy Rain Lashes Jakarta Since Early Hours, 31 Neighbourhood Units Flooded
Heavy rain that lashed the DKI Jakarta metropolitan area and its surroundings since the early hours of the morning caused flooding at several locations. The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) recorded 31 neighbourhood units (RT) inundated by floodwaters.
The data was compiled by the DKI BPBD as of 05:00 Western Indonesian Time (WIB) on Friday, 20 February 2026. The flooded areas were located in South Jakarta, resulting from heavy rainfall and the overflowing of the Krukut River and the PHB Nipam River.
Three neighbourhood units in Cipete Utara were inundated with floodwaters reaching a depth of 70 centimetres. Meanwhile, 28 neighbourhood units in Petogogan were flooded to a depth of 20 centimetres.
