Heavy Rain and Strong Winds Damage Five Houses in Bogor
Heavy rain accompanied by strong winds struck North Bogor in Bogor City, causing damage to five houses in the area.
“Due to heavy rain and strong winds, the incident caused several residential roofs to be blown away,” said Dimas Tiko, Head of Operations at the Bogor City Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), speaking to reporters on Thursday (19/2/2026).
Dimas said the incident was reported by residents as having occurred earlier in the afternoon at 11:00 AM local time. The strong winds caused roof damage to five residential properties.
“The house belonging to Ade Sopian sustained moderate damage to the kitchen and bathroom roof. The house belonging to Indro sustained moderate damage to the second-floor kitchen and bathroom roof. The residence of Wintarsih sustained moderate damage to the kitchen roof. The residence of Andi Salim sustained severe damage to the roofs of the living room, bedroom and bathroom. The residence of Keli Sugiantoro sustained moderate damage to the roof, with nearly the entire second floor affected,” said Dimas.
Dimas stated that the assessment process has been completed by the BPBD team at the scene. No fatalities or injuries were reported in the incident.
“The assessment has been completed by Bogor City BPBD’s Rapid Response Team personnel at the scene. There were no fatalities or injuries,” said Dimas.
