Heavy Rain and Jakarta Flooding: See the List of Flooded Roads

Jakarta, Kompas.com - Heavy rain that fell from Saturday night (7 March 2026) to Sunday morning (8 March 2026) caused a number of road sections to flood and become impassable to vehicles. According to information from the Traffic Management Center of Metro Jaya Police, on Sunday (4 March 2026) there were floodings on several road sections. Among them is Jalan Satrio Grogol in West Jakarta. Since 03:44 WIB, that road has been flooded to a height of 30 cm; vehicles can still pass. However officers continued to urge motorists to proceed with caution. Flooding also occurred on Jalan Swadarma Raya, Ulujami, Pesanggaragan in South Jakarta, where the water level was deep enough that vehicles could not pass. Flooding also occurred in South Jakarta, specifically on Jalan Iskandar Muda, in front of Gandaria City mall and Jalan Kemang Utara. Officers urged road users to seek alternative routes to avoid floodwaters. Jalan Kapten Tendean in South Jakarta became one of the roads affected by flooding on Sunday morning. Road users were advised to seek alternative routes and to drive carefully. Flooding also affected several Transjakarta routes, which were diverted due to floodwaters inundating several points in the Jakarta area. The adjustments included BRT services, Mikrotrans, and integrated transport. “In relation to the flooding at several points, we shortened routes, diverted paths, and temporarily halted several services,” said Ayu Wardhani, Head of Public Relations and CSR of Transjakarta, in a written statement, on Sunday (8 March 2026). The list of five BRT corridors that changed, below are the details: - Corridor 2A (Pulogadung 1 – Rawa Buaya): shortened to Damai due to flooding on the Pulo Nangka section. - Corridor 3 (Kalideres – Monas): shortened to Damai – Monas due to flooding and a collapsed road divider. - Corridor 6 (Ragunan – Galunggung) and Corridor 13E (Puribeta – Kuningan): diverted due to flooding in the Mampang underpass. - Corridor 9 (Pinang Ranti – Pluit): Route diverted via Tol Slipi 1 due to flooding more than 30 cm after the Grogol Stop. Ten Mikrotrans routes affected: - Operations halted: JAK.04 (Grogol – Jembatan Dua) and JAK.30 (Meruya – Citraland). - Shortened route: JAK.85 (Bintara – Cipinang Indah) due to flooding 25–35 cm. - Route diversions: JAK.108, JAK.37, JAK.53, JAK.71, JAK.75, JAK.78A, and JAK.93. - Integrated Transport 1C (Blok M – Pesanggrahan): Diversioned due to flooding of around ±50 cm on Jl. Ciledug Raya. - Non-BRT 3E (Sentraland Cengkareng – Puri Kembangan): Temporarily halted due to flooding at Simpang Kapuk.
