Heartwarming Moment with the Interior Minister and IPDN Cadets Amid Humanitarian Duties
Interior Minister (Mendagri) and Head of the Task Force for Accelerating Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Post-Disaster in Sumatra, Muhammad Tito Karnavian, enjoyed lunch with cadets from the Institute of Domestic Administration (IPDN) in Aceh Tamiang Regency, Aceh, on Tuesday (21/4). The cadets are currently engaged in service to aid the acceleration of recovery in the affected area. The lunch activity took place in a simple yet warm atmosphere. The Interior Minister sat with the cadets without barriers, chatting casually while enjoying the meal. In addition to the Interior Minister, the joint meal was also attended by the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (PMK), Pratikno, Aceh Deputy Governor Fadhlullah, and Aceh Tamiang Regent Armia Pahmi. The cadets are part of the third wave of IPDN cadet deployment, consisting of 731 first-level or pratama cadets. In the first wave deployment, the main focus was on cleaning office areas. Meanwhile, the second wave expanded the scope to community environments. The third wave is focused on handling locations still heavily impacted, particularly due to mud deposits. In his remarks, the Interior Minister appreciated the performance of the IPDN cadets, who were deemed successful in cleaning up flood residue mud, both in the Aceh Tamiang Regency office complex and surrounding residential areas. “So it’s already good because the younger siblings also worked well, right,” said the Interior Minister. The Interior Minister expressed thanks because the cadets, from the first to the third wave deployments, did not commit any violations, thus maintaining the good name of IPDN in Aceh Tamiang Regency. “That is why the Deputy Governor gave thanks in the form of a joint meal and also the slaughter of one cow specifically for the IPDN cadets,” said the Interior Minister.
