Heart Disease, Cancer and Stroke Dominate MSIG Life Claims

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – PT MSIG Life Insurance Indonesia Tbk or MSIG Life paid health and death claims totaling Rp 227.29 billion from January to March 2026. The claims were paid to more than 8,000 beneficiaries. The amount reflected a 3.2 percent year-on-year increase compared with the same period a year earlier. The majority of claims also originated from productive-age policyholders aged 20 to 55. That age group accounted for about 65.5 percent of the total insured claimants. Customers in this age bracket are generally still actively employed and form the main economic backbone of their families. Therefore, health risks can directly affect family financial stability. “During the first quarter of 2026, the average monthly claims paid exceeded Rp 75 billion to customers and families facing health risks or the loss of a breadwinner,” he said in a formal statement on Friday (22 May 2026). “We are committed to paying every claim that meets policy conditions, while upholding business ethics and the principle of utmost good faith,” he added.
