Healthy walk a momentum to bring the Indonesian Air Force closer to the community
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Commander of the Indonesian Air Force Regional Command I (Pangkodau I), Air Marshal Erwin Sugiandi, stated that a healthy walk and social service event for the 79th Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) Air Force Service Day was a crucial momentum to strengthen relations with the community. “We organised this event so that the community can get closer to the Air Force. This is a moment for the community to get to know the TNI AU directly,” said Air Marshal Erwin Sugiandi in a written statement on Sunday. Erwin confirmed that Kodau I is committed to continuing to hold similar activities during future national holidays. “God willing, we will hold it again for the commemoration of national holidays. We always want to be close to the community, especially the people of Jakarta,” said Erwin. “My message to the younger generation is to love your homeland. If we love our homeland, whatever profession we have, we will give our contribution and body and soul to build the nation,” Erwin continued. He welcomed the proposal for an educational space for students to learn about the history and world of aerospace directly within a military environment. The healthy walk and social service event is part of a series of celebrations for the 79th TNI AU Service Day, the peak of which is commemorated every 29 July.
