Jakarta (ANTARA) - Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin said his ministry will update SATUSEHAT so that users can monitor their personal health trends and take any necessary follow-up health action.

He explained that the updates will include tracking exercise progress in a manner similar to wearable devices, as well as integrating health data with user accounts so it can be viewed by the individual. The ministry is also considering the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to respond to users’ health conditions by providing directions.

“So you can see it like a bank account. You can view your health data anywhere. Checked at hospital A, laboratory B, hospital C, or community health centre D — all your health data can be consolidated into a single file in your SATUSEHAT,” Budi said in Jakarta on Tuesday.

According to him, users will later be able to view a range of health indicators, such as blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol, along with their development over time.

In addition to data from health facilities, SATUSEHAT is also being prepared to display physical activity data, such as running, in the same way wearable devices record exercise.

Budi said the ministry is also considering harnessing artificial intelligence (AI) within SATUSEHAT to provide guidance when a user’s health indicators show a condition requiring attention.

“And later we might add a bit of AI. So if, for example, a reading is already high, it will tell you what to do. ‘Contact Dr Dante, here is the phone number,’” he said.

He hopes the updated SATUSEHAT can be launched in August 2026.
