Heading to China, 5 Top Installers to Compete at ASEAN Level
The MIDEA Club Flash Installation Tournament (MCFIT) Season 2 has officially concluded its national series with a National Final held in Jakarta. After progressing through preliminary rounds in seven cities, five selected installers will represent Indonesia at the ASEAN Grand Final in China, competing against top installers from Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
The five installers chosen to represent Indonesia are Juni Sofyan Putera Zai from Pekanbaru, Andy Saputra from Pekanbaru, Sukheron from Tangerang, Faisal Ridwan Dwi Prasetyo from Yogyakarta, and Andre Laurent S from Pekan．
The National Final served as the pinnacle of the MCFIT Season 2 journey in Indonesia, following preliminary rounds in Bekasi, Tangerang, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Denpasar, and Pekanbaru. The best installers from each region were brought together in Jakarta to demonstrate installation skills through challenges testing speed, precision, workmanship quality, neatness, and the application of occupational safety standards.
“The National Final is a significant moment as it brings together the best installers from various regions in Indonesia. This competition is not just about finding who can work the fastest, but also who can maintain precision, quality, neatness, and safety in every installation process. We congratulate the five selected installers who will carry Indonesia’s name to the ASEAN Grand Final and hope they can deliver their best performance on the international stage,” said Riki Suwandi, Jakarta Branch Manager of PT Midea Electronics Indonesia.
In addition to the five competing installers, MCFIF Season 2 also featured a ‘Favourite Installer’ category determined through public voting. Said Muhazzir from Pekanbaru received the highest support and earned the opportunity to travel to China to witness the ASEAN Grand Final firsthand.
Unlike the five representatives competing in the tournament, the Favourite Installer will attend as an observer. This opportunity serves as a form of appreciation from Midea for the participants’ enthusiasm and the community’s support throughout the MCFIF Season 2 series.
Under the theme ‘Deserve to Be Seen’, MCFIF Season 2 serves as a platform for installers to showcase their skills and professionalism, while gaining recognition for their vital role in ensuring air conditioning installation is performed accurately and according to standards.
Compared to the previous season, MCFIF Season 2 introduced more comprehensive challenges, including the installation of outdoor units as part of the competition. In Indonesia, all participants utilised Midea Celest Inverter units, ensuring every participant faced the same equipment and assessment standards.
While speed is one aspect of the assessment, it is not the sole determining factor. Participants are also judged on the accuracy of the installation process, the quality of the final result, the neatness of the work, and the implementation of work safety procedures.
Through this competition, Midea aims to encourage installers to continuously improve their skills and work efficiency without compromising installation quality or safety. This aligns with the role of installers as a crucial component in providing an optimal air conditioning user experience for consumers.
MCFIF Season 2 is being organised across five ASEAN countries: Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and the Philippines. Once the national competition series in each country is complete, the selected installers will meet at the ASEAN Grand Final in China.
