The Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps (Korlantas Polri) held its 2026 Traffic Function Working Meeting (Rakernis) in Jakarta, themed ‘Digitalisation of Traffic Police Services to Support the Precision Transformation of the National Police in Realising Asta Cita’. The event was attended by high-ranking officials, including the Minister of Transportation, the Deputy Chief of National Police, the Chairman of Commission III of the House of Representatives (DPR RI), and the CEOs of PT Jasa Raharja and PT Jasa Marga.

The Head of the Traffic Corps, Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, stated that Korlantas Polri will continue to implement the directives of the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, focusing on institutional, operational, public service, and supervisory transformations. He emphasised that beyond the core duties of protecting and serving the community, the corps holds a significant responsibility in ensuring traffic safety, order, and smoothness through collaboration with the ‘five pillars’ of stakeholders.

During the meeting, Inspector General Agus outlined five major upcoming traffic operation agendas to be executed alongside relevant stakeholders. The first priority is ‘Operation Safety’ (Operasi Keselamatan), which requires close coordination with state-owned enterprises such as Jasa Marga and Jasa Raharja to prioritise road user safety. He also expressed appreciation for the successful conclusion of ‘Operation Ketupat 2026’. Looking ahead, the Head of Traffic Corps announced that the corps is preparing for ‘Operation Patuh’, which will employ a more stringent law enforcement approach compared to previous iterations.
