The Head of the Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas) of the Indonesian National Police, Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, continues to oversee the implementation of Operation Ketupat 2026. He reaffirmed the commitment of the Traffic Corps, working together with all stakeholders, to ensure safe homecoming travel from the perspective of crime prevention and smooth traffic management.

This statement was delivered by Inspector General Agus following his monitoring of the traffic situation during Operation Ketupat 2026 at the Integrated Post, Rest Area KM 57, Cikampek, on Sunday (15/3/2026).

On this occasion, Inspector General Agus conveyed that the traffic flow situation, particularly in the legal jurisdiction of the West Java Regional Police Command, remains adequately controlled. Therefore, there is currently no policy to immediately implement traffic engineering measures.

“Based on monitoring through the digital Traffic Counting system, traffic leaving Jakarta currently only reaches 23.1 per cent. This means approximately 76.9 per cent, or around 3.2 million homebound travellers, will still be travelling,” said the Kakorlantas.

Coordination with all stakeholders, particularly the toll road operator Jasa Marga, continues through monitoring systems to maintain smooth traffic flow. Field management is flexible in nature, based on data evaluation and technology, with various scenarios for adjusting one-way traffic scheduling prepared dynamically to ensure the security, safety and comfort of travellers as the top priority.

The Kakorlantas also expressed appreciation to the West Java Regional Police Command for launching innovations to support traffic safety, security and order, as well as community security and order during Operation Ketupat 2026.

“For us, every life is invaluable. We are not merely managing statistics, but safeguarding the narrative of longing for millions of families so it ends with a smile,” he said.
