A young man was found dead in a shopping mall car park in Bandung, West Java. The victim is suspected to have hanged himself. The body was discovered against a wall on the 12th floor of the car park on Sunday (12/7). Regol Police Chief Commissioner Megawati Triyanti stated that the body had been taken to Sartikaasih Hospital. “It is true that an incident occurred. On Sunday, 12 July, at around 06.30 WIB, we received information from a technician and security guard about the incident on the 12th floor of the Kings car park,” Mega said, as quoted on Monday (13/7/2026). Police secured several items of evidence, including a mobile phone, sandals, an identity card, and a letter of apology from the victim addressed to his family, friends, and relatives. According to circulating information, the victim was a head of an SPPG in Bandung Regency. This news was known through a condolence post from the West Java Regional SPPI. Regarding this, Mega noted that, based on his identity card, the 26-year-old man was registered as a student. “The victim was a student, according to the information on his ID card, after being identified and taken to Sartikaasih,” she said. Mega confirmed that the victim was a resident of Bandung Regency.
