Head of SOE Regulatory Agency Ensures Safe and Comfortable Train Services
Trains have become the primary choice for many people travelling between cities. Jakarta (ANTARA) - Dony Oskaria, Head of the State-Owned Enterprises Regulatory Agency (BP BUMN), has assured that train services are safe and comfortable, after directly inspecting several facilities on a long-distance train. “Trains are the primary choice for many people in intercity travel. Therefore, the services provided are always safe, comfortable, reliable, and continuously improving over time,” Dony stated in his official remarks received in Jakarta on Thursday. Dony, who attended the groundbreaking for the downstreaming phase II in Cilacap, Central Java, travelled to Jakarta by train. The Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Danantara took the opportunity to directly inspect several facilities inside the long-distance train. The inspection was conducted to ensure that aspects of comfort, security, cleanliness, and service quality for passengers are maintained throughout the journey. Dony conveyed that trains play an important role in supporting public mobility. Therefore, service and safety standards need to be continuously strengthened to improve the passenger travel experience. BP BUMN, together with PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero), is committed to continuously promoting improvements in service quality, strengthening safety standards, and providing increasingly safe, comfortable, and reliable train transportation for the public. Through this direct inspection, BP BUMN demonstrates its commitment to continuously overseeing the quality of public transportation services, particularly long-distance trains that are the choice of the public for intercity travel.
