Head of Rancamulya SPPG in Bandung Dies by Suicide, Kitchen Owner Noticed 'Odd Behaviour' Over Three Months

The owner of the kitchen for the Nutrition Fulfilment Service Unit (SPPG) on Jalan Rancamulya, Bandung Regency, Fajri, expressed shock following the death of the SPPG head, who took his own life by hanging at the Kings Shopping centre in Bandung City on Sunday. Fajri stated that the victim had become withdrawn and rarely communicated over the last three months. He had known the victim since the kitchen first opened for the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme. ‘Just for the past three months, he was a bit different, more closed off. When asked, there was no communication at all. He just couldn’t be joked with and communication was closed,’ Fajri said at the SPPG Rancamulya office in Pameungpeuk, Bandung Regency, on Monday. Fajri admitted he only learned of the death after contacting the victim’s family, as the victim’s mobile phone had been inactive for two weeks.
