Head of Rancamulya Nutrition Service Unit Dies by Suicide at Bandung Shopping Centre
A 26-year-old man, who served as the head of the Rancamulya Nutrition Service Unit (SPPG) in Bandung Regency, reportedly took his own life by hanging at the Kings Shopping Center on Sunday (12/7/2026). The victim was found suspended on the 12th floor of the shopping centre’s car park.
Regol Police Chief Commissioner Megawati Triyani confirmed the incident occurred on Sunday at approximately 6.30 a.m. Western Indonesian Time. Officers and the Automatic Fingerprint Identification System (Inafis) team subsequently processed the crime scene.
“On Sunday at 6.30 a.m., we received a report from a technician and a security guard that the incident had occurred,” she stated on Monday (13/7/2026).
She explained that the victim ended his life by tying himself with a rope on the 12th floor of the Kings Shopping Center. Several items of evidence were secured, including a mobile phone, sandals, an identity card, and a handwritten letter containing an apology to his family.
“Items secured included a mobile phone, sandals, an ID card, and a handwritten letter of apology to the family,” she said.
