According to Samidi, the head of RT 1 Kaliurang, Argomulyo, Sedayu, Bantul, upon arriving at the location, he found his resident, TYR (36), already deceased. In addition, TYR was covered in blood at the time.
He recounted receiving a report from the night watchman of Agro Industri Park I, Mercu Buana University, Yogyakarta, Arifin, at 05:30. Samidi immediately rushed to TYR’s house.
“Upon arriving at the location, I immediately entered the house, then went to the living room, and it turned out that the victim was lying there covered in blood,” he told detikJogja in Argomulyo, Sedayu, Bantul, Wednesday (25/2/2026).

Subsequently, the police arrived to examine the victim and carry out a series of investigations.
“Then the police came to the scene,” he said.
On the other hand, Samidi revealed that the victim’s wife, RPS (34), also suffered injuries as a result of the attack using the machete. In addition, Samidi said that the perpetrator entered through the side door of the victim’s house, which was unlocked.
