Head of National Nutrition Agency Conveys Prabowo's Message: No Corruption in Free Nutritious Meals Programme
Jakarta, Kompas.com — Dadan Hindayana, Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), has conveyed President Prabowo Subianto’s message for all staff to maintain integrity and avoid corrupt practices in the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme.
According to Dadan, these two principles are not merely personal messages but fundamental values that must be internalised by all BGN personnel from the central office to regional levels.
“Before I joined President Subianto, I was given two messages and I believe these are relevant for all of you. What helped me was a message from the President—only two things: the red-and-white flag on my chest and no corruption,” said Dadan during a regulatory socialisation session on staffing at BGN on Friday (27 February 2026), as cited in a press statement.
“So I urge you all, because as Nutrition Fulfilment Service Offices (KPPG), you have authority in the regions,” he added.
He stressed the importance of thinking long-term and placing national interests above individual interests.
“Do not use that authority to reap short-term gains. We must think long-term,” he asserted.
Furthermore, Dadan also requested senior management, including the Head of Human Resources and Administrative Affairs Bureau and the Secretary General of BGN, to take firm action should there be any indication of deviation, however minor.
According to Dadan, there are still many people willing to work at BGN compared to retaining employees who engage in dishonest conduct.
“Do not hesitate if you detect even the slightest hint of foul play. I think simply replace them, since there are still plenty of people who want to work here,” Dadan stated firmly.
