JAKARTA - The Head of the Mampang Prapatan District Transport Executive Unit has been issued a warning letter after officers altered photo documentation with differing timestamps for parking in the Jakarta Kini (JAKI) application.

“Regarding this incident, the South Jakarta Transport Sub-Department has taken firm action in the form of a severe reprimand through a warning letter to the Head of the Mampang Prapatan District Transport Executive Unit and the involved team to ensure such events do not recur,” said South Jakarta Transport Sub-Department Head Bernad Octavianus Pasaribu, quoted by Antara on Friday (10/4/2025).

He stated that they acknowledge shortcomings and inconsistencies in the administrative reporting process, particularly regarding the use of photo documentation with differing timestamps, which has led to an inaccurate public perception.

“We apologise for this incident. It serves as a lesson for us to continuously improve accuracy, integrity, and professionalism in every process of handling and reporting public complaints,” Bernad said.

Furthermore, he noted that the reported location is indeed a spot frequently plagued by illegal parking violations and street vendor (PKL) activities.

Handling of such issues has been conducted routinely through tow net operations, pentil removal operations (OCP), and integrated enforcement involving TNI and Police elements.

In the JAKI complaint handling mechanism, follow-up actions are carried out in stages, from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) down to the District Executive Unit level for on-site implementation.

“Moving forward, we are committed to enhancing supervision and ensuring that on-site enforcement is carried out responsibly, in accordance with applicable rules, consistently, and sustainably, so that every public complaint can be handled quickly, accurately, and accountably,” Bernad emphasised.

The South Jakarta Transport Sub-Department also invites all community elements to actively participate in creating order, particularly regarding parking and traffic, to realise a more orderly and comfortable Jakarta for everyone.

Previously, the DKI Provincial Government confirmed the manipulation of timestamps on JAKI reports by DKI Jakarta Transport Agency officers in Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta.

In the first photo, there was an automatic timestamp from the application showing 25 October 2025 at 08.40 WIB. Meanwhile, the timestamp embedded in the second photo showed 23 October 2025 at 09.00 WIB.
