Head of GP Ansor Addin Jauharudin Formally Becomes Independent Commissioner of BSI

JAKARTA — PT Bank Syariah Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BSI) has announced the appointment of Addin Jauharudin as Independent Commissioner of the bank effective 11 March 2026.

According to information disclosed to the Indonesia Stock Exchange, the decision has been approved by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) following Addin Jauharudin’s successful completion of the fit and proper test.

Following the OJK’s decision, Addin Jauharudin will take office on 11 March 2026. BSI received the OJK’s decision through letter number SR-215/PB.13/2026 dated 6 March 2026 concerning the assessment of the capability and suitability of the appointment of an Independent Commissioner at BSI, according to management’s report submitted to the stock exchange on Tuesday 17 March 2026.

The appointment of Addin Jauharudin had previously received approval from BSI shareholders at the bank’s Annual General Meeting held on 16 May 2025. The bank has emphasised that the appointment of Addin Jauharudin will not impact the bank’s operational activities, legal standing, financial condition, or business continuity.

Addin completed a Master’s degree in Management (S2) at Trisakti University in 2016 and earned a doctoral degree (S3) from Brawijaya University in 2019, specialising in Strategic Management.

Addin Jauharudin is the General Chairman of the Central Leadership of the Youth Movement of Nahdlatul Ulama (GP Ansor) for the term 2024-2029. GP Ansor is a semi-autonomous body of the Central Executive of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU).

His career in PBNU organisations has been extensive, spanning since his university days. During this time, he served as Head of the Cadre Development Division of PB PMII (2008-2010) and subsequently as General Chairman of PB PMII (2011-2013).

Within GP Ansor, he previously served as Deputy Secretary General for Economics (2018), Head of the Economics Division (2022), and General Treasurer (2022).

Beyond his roles in GP Ansor, Addin Jauharudin has also served as commissioner at several state-owned enterprises including PT Garam (2014-2018), PT Pos Indonesia (2018-2023), and PT Waskita Karya (2023-2025).
