Head of BGN: Final Free Nutritious Food Distribution Tomorrow, Resuming Again 31 March

Jakarta — The head of Indonesia’s National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Dadan Hindayana, disclosed that tomorrow, Tuesday 17 March 2026, marks the final day of distributing free nutritious food (Makanan Bergizi Gratis, MBG).

Hindayana made the statement to the media following a limited coordination meeting at the Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs in Jakarta on Monday 16 March 2026.

During the meeting, discussion focused on harmonising programmes across government ministries and agencies with the largest budgets, including BGN.

Hindayana confirmed that MBG will continue to be distributed to students, pregnant women, and young children until tomorrow.

“For MBG, our final distribution is tomorrow, for pregnant women and young children and schoolchildren, we have already included them,” he stated.

He added that MBG distribution will resume on 31 March 2026.

“We will distribute again on 31 March 2026,” he said.
