In response to the viral issue regarding the Rp 1.2 trillion budget for providing IT solutions for the National Nutrition Fulfilment Information System (SIPGN) as well as managed services for IT facilities and IoT, the Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Dadan Hindayana, has issued an official clarification to straighten out the information circulating in the public domain. Dadan emphasised that the selection of strategic partners and the realisation of the budget for the 2025 fiscal year are conducted with tight supervision and in reference to applicable regulations to ensure national data security. Dadan explained that from the available budget ceiling, the current realisation is allocated for two crucial needs. First, the development of the SIPGN application, which includes various modules with an estimated value of Rp 550 billion. Second, the provision of managed services for IoT devices with an estimated value of Rp 199 billion. “The involvement of Perum Peruri (PERURI) in this strategic programme is an integrated state step. It must be emphasised that PERURI has transformed into a high-security technology company. This is in accordance with the mandate of Government Regulation (PP) Number 6 of 2019, which grants authority to PERURI as a provider of digital security solutions for government agencies,” Dadan stated in a written statement on Tuesday, 21 April 2026. According to Dadan, Peruri’s status as GovTech Indonesia based on Presidential Regulation Number 82 of 2023 is the main reason why this institution is trusted to manage the national digital transformation (SPBE). In response to public doubts regarding the strategic partner and provision procedures, Dadan outlined Peruri’s solid digital track record, including its position as the only state-owned enterprise Electronic Certification Provider (PSrE) affiliated under the Ministry of Communication and Digital, as well as the provider of the Electronic Stamp System. “The entire cooperation process with BGN is carried out transparently, in accordance with applicable regulations, and prioritises the principles of Good Corporate Governance (GCG). We ensure there are no loopholes for deviations because this concerns the sovereignty of Indonesia’s people’s nutrition data,” he added. Regarding technical issues in the Electronic Procurement System (SPSE) questioned by the public, the Head of BGN assured that every administrative stage continues to run within the legal corridor. BGN is committed to ensuring that the SIPGN system and IoT services can operate maximally as soon as possible to guarantee targeted nutrition distribution that can be monitored in real-time.
