With reference to the article written by Dini S. Djalal published in The Jakarta Post on Feb. 24, 1996, on page 5, we find that some points of the article are not accurate, so the article could mislead your readers. We would therefore like to give our comments:
* The Jakarta Post has never made a request to the management of the Hong Bin Lou restaurant to cover our establishment. Let alone, told us of complaints.
* We gladly welcomed The Jakarta Post's request for a shot of the restaurant on Jan. 30, 1996, as we did not have any thing to hide. Unfortunately, we were not informed of the result of the photographs.
* Until The Jakarta Post published the article on Feb. 24, we have never had complaints or comments about our restaurant. We provide cards on each table in case our customers wish to give any comments or express dissatisfaction, make suggestions or even criticize us.
We deplore the inconvenience experienced by your reporter. Had the reporter told the duty manager, such an inconvenience could have been avoided. We would be glad to invite the reporter to come to our restaurant and try our food to prove that the food is not as described in the article.
We are open for constructive criticisms and suggestions to improve our service.
