Haze Blankets Palangka Raya as Forest and Land Fires Worsen
Haze has blanketed Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan, as a result of ongoing forest and land fires in several areas. The conditions have led to worsening air quality and potential public health disturbances. According to data from the Palangka Raya Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), the fires had burned 54.44 hectares of land across 109 incidents as of 26 July 2026.
