Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Vice Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Council (Wantimpres), Hatta Rajasa, has asserted the commitment of all council members to refrain from disclosing the contents of any advice or suggestions presented to President Prabowo Subianto.

Speaking to the media at the State Palace in Jakarta on Friday, Hatta explained that the prohibition against sharing the contents of such advice with the public is strictly regulated under the laws that serve as the legal basis for the institution.

“Based on the law, we are prohibited from disclosing that information. Therefore, we will certainly remain silent regarding anything we convey to the President,” said Hatta.

He noted that the inauguration of all Wantimpres members was based on the regulatory transition from Law Number 19 of 2006 to the 2024 Law.

This regulatory change alters the status of Wantimpres from what was previously a government agency to an official state institution permanently positioned under the President.

“Our duty is to ensure the President’s success by providing high-quality input gathered from various aspects,” he added.

Hatta further stated that all members of Wantimpres will work hard to dedicate themselves to providing the best advice and input for the nation and the state.

In addition to Pratikno and Hatta Rajasa, Muhammad Qodari has been appointed as the Secretary of Wantimpres, concurrently serving as a member.

President Prabowo also inaugurated several other figures as members of Wantimpres, including Shinta Nuriyah Wahid, Muhammad Quraiment Shihab, Bambang Soesatyo, Agum Gumelar, Budi Gunawan, Chairul Tanjung, Salim Segaf Aljufri, K.H. Anwar Iskandar, K.H. Said Aqil Siradj, K.H. Yahya Cholil Staquf, Philip Kuncoro Wijaya, and Budi Tanuwibowo.

Other members include Ida Bagus Purwalaksana, Soekarwo, Jusuf Hamka, Dato’ Sri Tahir, Jusuf Wanandi, Margarito Kamis, Rocky Gerung, Mohamad Hatta, Anwar Usman, Ignasius Jonan, and Murdaya Poo.
