Hashim Suddenly Meets Public Works Minister, Key Topics Discussed

The Minister of Public Works, Dody Hanggodo, received a visit from the Special Envoy to the President for Energy and Climate Change, Hashim Djojohadikusumo. The two discussed the direction of infrastructure development that is productive, inclusive, and sustainable.

According to the Ministry of Public Works’ Instagram, the meeting addressed the importance of ensuring that infrastructure development not only strengthens connectivity and productivity but also stimulates economic growth, creates employment, and accelerates poverty alleviation.

“Mr Hashim also shared views on the importance of maintaining environmental preservation alongside development,” the Ministry of Public Works wrote on Thursday (3/9/2026).

During the meeting, Dody reaffirmed the Ministry of Public Works’ commitment to strengthening the implementation of efficient and sustainable green infrastructure principles. These development goals align with the PU608 programme, which aims to drive the Incremental Capital Output Ratio (ICOR) below 6, support poverty reduction towards 0%, and sustain economic growth at 8%.

“The Ministry of Public Works continues to ensure that every infrastructure development provides real benefits to the community, boosts productivity, and maintains environmental sustainability,” the Ministry’s statement concluded.
